What Are Dermal Fillers?
A liquid facelift incorporates injectables composed of a smooth, soft gel. They’re typically made out of hyaluronic acid, a sugar that’s naturally found in the body. Hyaluronic acid is also responsible for keeping the skin nourished and hydrated, but it’s gradually depleted as we age. Dermal fillers work by volumizing the treatment area, whether they’re smoothing out deep wrinkles or lifting areas that have sagged. Over time, the fillers are safely absorbed by the body.
Depending on their formula, each filler has a different longevity. The hyaluronic acid fillers are easily reversible; with the injection of an enzyme, the results can be undone.
